EATONTOWN, N.J. (September 1, 2016) – Circle BMW, the region’s only independently owned and operated BMW dealership, donated $5,000 to the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MCSPCA). The donation was the end result of, Drive For A Cause, a public awareness and fundraising campaign dedicated to the MCSPCA. In July, Circle BMW pledged to donate $25 to the MCSPCA for every test drive taken at the dealership through August 19, 2016. Nearly 200 people came into Circle BMW to take a test drive in support of the MCSPCA.

MCSPCA Executive Director, Ross Licitra, said, “We are thrilled that so many people came out and participated in Circle BMW’s test drive campaign to show their support of the MCSPCA.” He added, “The MCSPCA has seen an increase in rescue cases, not only from Monmouth County, but as far away as South Korea and California. We rely solely on private funding; therefore, donations such as Circle BMW’s will go a long way in providing the proper care to hundreds of homeless animals.”

Earlier this year, BMW of North America launched a nationwide effort to unify all their dealers behind the message of, “Take a Test Drive, Make A Difference.” Local BMW Centers were given a choice to join the national effort in support of Team U.S.A. or select a local organization. Circle BMW choose to focus locally and selected the MCSPCA as the beneficiary of their Drive For A Cause campaign.

“We visited the MCSPCA, toured the facility and saw first-hand the tremendous effort that it takes to care for these displaced animals and find them safe, loving homes,” explained Tom DeFelice. “I have great admiration for the dedicated staff at the MCSPCA as they work very hard to ensure these animals receive the proper care and attention,” he added.
