The Community YMCA Foundation Board of Trustees elected Peter McCarthy Chairman of the Board, appointed new officers and welcomed four trustees at a meeting earlier this month.
McCarthy, a Little Silver resident, is a 30-year veteran of the financial services industry. He is the President and Chief Executive Officer, and a founding member of E D & F Man Capital Markets, a global financial brokerage business. McCarthy is a graduate of Pace University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, and is married with three daughters.
Newly elected officers of the Board of Trustees are: Benedict J. Torcivia Jr., Rumson, vice chairman; Irene Hall, Rumson, secretary; and Bruce Lakefield, Tinton Falls, treasurer.

The Foundation board welcomed new trustees to three-year terms as follows:
Carol Agresti, of Toms River; Senior Vice President and Wealth Director with PNC Wealth Management for the central NJ market; Steve Bidgood, Tinton Falls, Managing Partner of Salt Creek Grille; Christopher Curcia, Freehold, assistant vice president and branch manager of Investors Bank in Red Bank; Christopher Rinn, Fair Haven, assistant commissioner of the New Jersey Division of Public Health Infrastructure, Laborites and Emergency Preparedness.
The Board of Trustees oversees The Community YMCA Foundation and is dedicated to continually building the Endowment Fund to support the Y’s mission to serve all.
