Emerge America and Emerge New Jersey are teaming up to host an exciting event in New York City to discuss the challenges facing Democratic women in politics today.

Emerge America is a national organization that is changing the face of power, the face of politics, and the face of leadership in this country by working to double the number of Democratic women in all levels of elected office. We believe Democratic policies are more responsive to all people when elected officials better reflect and represent all Americans. Emerge America has 14 affiliates across the country including Emerge New Jersey which was launched in 2012.

Our affiliates actively recruit, train and mentor Democratic women to run for office. We have trained over 1,500 women, and last year we had 257 women on the ballot at every level. 52% of our alumnae have run for office, and 70% of them have won.
