Dr. Nonna Kolomeyevskaya Joins Barnabas Health Medical Group

Barnabas Health Medical Group (BHMG) recently announced the addition of Nonna Kolomeyevskaya, M.D., a fellowship trained gynecologic oncologist specializing in surgical and medical therapy of women with gynecologic cancers, as well as precancerous disease of the female genital tract and complex benign conditions. She performs radical pelvic surgery using open and minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Kolomeyevskaya is affiliated with Monmouth Medical Center and Community Medical Center, two Barnabas Health facilities.

As a third generation physician, Dr. Kolomeyevskaya always had a passion for medicine. Fascinated about the complexity of women’s health care issues, she decided to dedicate herself to a career in gynecologic oncology. She graduated magna cum laude from Boston University and earned her medical degree at Albany Medical College in New York. Dr. Kolomeyevskaya completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, followed by a gynecologic oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York. Early in her career, she distinguished herself in research and has authored and co-authored numerous scientific publications in peer-reviewed articles. She received the Roswell Park Cancer Institute Award for the Best Basic Science Report.
