Eatontown Woman Charged With Hindering Her Own Apprehension
Josette P. Ameris used her sister's name and date of birth, police say.

Eatontown police recently arrested a borough woman after she tried to use her sister’s name and date of birth to avoid prosecution for taking an item from the Dollar General store on Route 35, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Josette P. Ameris, 273B Stonyhill Road, 20, is accused of giving false information to a police officer on May 17 and hindering her own apprehension on May 17. Ameris allegedly took a table grill valued at $25 from the store, the complaint from the Prosecutor’s Office states.
