Edward A. Lane Sr. Of Long Branch Dies
Family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Edward A. Lane Sr. passed away on May 19, 2015.
Edward grew up in Oceanport and lived in Ocean and Wall before moving to the Villages in 2004.
He is pre-deceased by his parents, Helen and Benjamin, and his son Christopher.
Edward is survived by his loving and devoted wife Barbara, of 43 years, his daughter Yvonne and her wife Michelle of Atlanta, GA.; a son Edward Jr. in New York City; daughter-in-law, Lori of Ocean, NJ; a brother Charles R. Lane and his wife Jo Anne of Wall; and sister-in-law Stella and her husband Patrick of Atlanta, GA.
Edward has three grandchildren, Stephani and Nicholas, Ocean, NJ and Athena, New York City and nieces, Jennifer in Brick, and Mary Kate, New York City.
Edward was a professional land surveyor and worked for several contracting firms before starting his own F&S Surveying Company. He was a member of of the New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors and served as president.
He was a member of the Manasquan Elks Lodge #2534 and served as trustee, He was a member of the Irish Club, Morven Mixers, and the Romeos in Villages, FL. He enjoyed playing golf, wood working, watching NASCAR and enjoying friends.
Edward enjoyed music and played in his high school band. He was a member of the nationally known Hawthorne Caballeros Drum and Bugle Corps and played clarinet in the New Horizons Band in The Villages.
Edward’s upbeat attitude and willingness to help everyone will be missed.
