Fire Rips Through Stores In Carriage Square Mall In West Long Branch

At least three stores were heavily damaged in a fire that broke out at the Carriage Square Mall on Monmouth Road recently, according to app.com.

Nails Limited, Peking Taste Restaurant and Giane, a hair and makeup salon, had “sufficient damage” in the fire, Assistant Fire Chief Pat Joyce said.

No one was injured, but crews remained on the scene throughout Saturday afternoon to put out hot spots, he said.

The fire apparently began in the nail salon’s ceiling. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, officials said.
