Four Local Nonprofits Joining Forces to Empower At-Risk Youth
3rd Annual Hearts of Hope Breakfast

For the past few years, Collier Youth Services, a non-profit organization that empowers at-risk youth, has been hosting its Annual Hearts of Hope Breakfast. This year, to make a greater impact on at-risk youth, they partnered with 3 local nonprofits—Family and Children’s Services (FCS), Help for Children Foundation (formerly Hope for Children Foundation), and the YMCA of Greater Monmouth County.
With over 360 years of experience working with local at-risk youth, each of these four organizations has deep roots within their communities as well as an affinity of providing progressive and impactful services. When the Hearts of Hope Breakfast started in 2017, it was Collier’s hope to empower the young women in the Collier Residential Program. “We quickly realized we could be making an even greater impact by partnering with other similar nonprofits. Each of our organizations have significantly empowered those we serve—we even serve many of the same youth—so it only seemed logical to pool our resources to make this event sensational and strengthen the lives of young people in Monmouth County,” stated Russell Gartz, Director of External Relations at Collier Youth Services.
The Hearts of Hope Breakfast will feature a keynote speaker, Ms. Christine Carter-Love, Executive Director of Family Promise of Monmouth County. Ms. Carter-Love has been described as “fearless, steadfast, and on a mission,” and has been featured in Forbes Woman, Black Enterprise, My9 News, and other media outlets.
