Gluten-Free Diet

GLUTEN-FREE DIET

A gluten-free diet is one that excludes the protein gluten found in grains such as wheat, barley, rye and triticale. This diet is used to treat celiac disease to control signs and symptoms and prevent complications from gluten. Join Nicole Cerillo, RD, Celiac Program Clinical Manager, Kogan Celiac Center, Monmouth Medical Center, to learn about the benefits of a gluten-free diet and how to eat a healthy, balanced diet if considering a gluten-free one. This session, for those ages 60 and older, will take place at the Keyport Senior Center located at 100 Second Avenue in Keyport. Registration is required by calling 732-264-4916. Free.
