James A. Garvin Of Eatontown Dies At 65

Graveside service to be held on Thursday in Hazlet.

James A. Garvin, 65, passed away at home after a long illness on Saturday, July 25, 2015.

Born in Jersey City, he moved to Keansburg in 1960 with his family. He was a graduate of Middletown High School and served a year in the United States Army. A professional driver by trade, he worked for various trucking, bus and most recently, limousine service companies.

He was predeceased by his parents James A. Garvin Sr. and Beatrice I. (Altano) Garvin. He is survived by his children, James Garvin, Hazlet and Kelly Roman (Jason), Eatontown; four grandchildren, Olivia and Jimmy Garvin, Nicholas and Sofia Roman and two sisters, Margaret Nordyke, GA and Cheryl West, Monroe Township..

A funeral service will be held graveside at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Shoreland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hazlet. Arrangements are under the care of Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.
