Jersey Central To Conduct Aerial Inspections Of Transmission Lines

Don’t be alarmed if you see a black and white Bell 206 helicopter hovering over different sections of the city over the next several days.

Jersey Central Power & Light will perform aerial inspections on its transmission lines, beginning on Monday. The inspections typically take between two to three days to complete, depending on weather conditions and scheduling needs.

The helicopter will be flying between 20 to 30 miles per hour along the lines and may hover over the lines for a closer inspection. the slowly (20-30 mph) along the lines, and may hover at any time for a closer inspection. The registration number for the helicopter is N321AW.
