The City of Long Branch announced that city offices closed at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday because of inclement weather. Long Branch schools also announced early dismissal for Wednesday.

Monmouth County released a statement urging residents to use caution when traveling.

“I urge anyone traveling during this storm to exercise caution and allow for extra time to get where they are going as the roadways may be slippery,” Freeholder Director Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the County’s Department of Public Works and Engineering, said in the statement. “We have 225 trucks and equipment outfitted with spreading and plowing capabilities. If you encounter plows or sand trucks, please be alert and allow them to do their work.”
