Long Branch Extends Summer Beach Season 'Til Sept. 30
All Long Branch public beaches will remain open until Sept. 30 this year, meaning that lifeguards will be on duty and badges are required.
LONG BRANCH, NJ — Like many towns up and down the Jersey Shore, Long Branch is officially extending its summer beach season.
All Long Branch public beaches will remain open until Sept. 30 this year, meaning that lifeguards will be on duty weekdays and weekends and badges will be required. Long Branch lifeguards will be on duty 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends.
Badges have been extended to be valid through Sept. 30. You can buy a daily beach pass from badge checkers at the beach.

While many Jersey Shore towns have extended beach season this September, the state's most popular beach, Sandy Hook, has not.

"No extension this year. The swimming season at Sandy Hook ended yesterday (Labor Day)," said a park spokeswoman.
