Long Branch Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Ocean Twp. Child
The minor, of middle-school age, said the sex assault took place inside a private home in Ocean Township, said Ocean Twp. Police.
OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Long Branch man has been arrested by Ocean Township police officers and charged with sexual assaulting an underage minor in that town.
Ocean Twp. Police announced his arrest Tuesday morning.
Lasaro Cesar Quintino 52, of Long Branch, has been charged with aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment.

While the alleged sex assault did not take place on school grounds, the child victim is of middle-school age, said police.
In fact, it was while at school, just before 9 a.m. on Jan. 9, a Monday morning, when the child first told an adult about the alleged sex assault, said police. The minor said the sex assault took place inside a private home in Ocean Township. Police did not say when the alleged sex assault occurred.

During the course of their investigation, detectives from Ocean Township Police and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office took statements from the victim and potential witnesses.
It was learned that the accused lived in Long Branch and officers responded to his residence on West Park Avenue in Long Branch. While on location in Long Branch, Quintino was located and placed under arrest.
He was transported to Ocean Twp. Police headquarters, but declined to provide a statement.
He is now at the Monmouth County Jail pending his first court appearance.
Ocean Twp. Officer James Woodley, detectives Walker and Clune and detectives from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Bureau all made the arrest.
