Long Branch Police Department Goes Pink For October
Officers can choose to wear a pink shirt underneath their uniform, public safety director says.

If you see a Long Branch police officer wearing a pink shirt, it’s for a good cause.
Long Branch police officers can show their awareness of Breast Cancer Month by wearing pink shirts instead of black for October, Public Safety Director Jason Roebuck said recently.
Roebuck signed a temporary order giving officers the option for the second year in a row.

The order reads: “During the month of October, in the interest of spreading awareness for Breast Cancer Month, officers are permitted to wear a pink shirt in place of a black shirt underneath their uniform.”
