Long Branch Public Schools 1949 Alumni Make Generous Donation

While many are still paying off student loans, Long Branch students of yesteryear are still looking for ways to give back to the district.

Members of the Class of 1949 recently made a donation to of $58,856.96 to Long Branch Public Schools, which the school describes on its Facebook page as “astonishing.”

The money is a result of ongoing fundraising initiatives by members of the class. The donation will go towards current students in the form of scholarship funds over the course of many years.

The district expressed it's gratitude in the post and are excited to put the money to a good cause.
