Shots Fired At 3 Places In Long Branch Monday; Man Shot At QuickChek In West Long Branch
Gunshots were fired at two homes in Long Branch Monday, and a man was shot outside the West Long Branch QuickChek on Broadway:

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ — Someone fired a gun at two private homes in Long Branch Monday and at the West Long Branch QuickCheck, where bullets struck a man outside the store, said the Monmouth County Prosecutor.
The man's identity has not been released yet and he is still recovering, in stable condition, at a local hospital.
The three separate shooting incidents started at 2:45 p.m. and took place within nine hours of each other, said Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago. They are all believed to be connected.

"We believe these are not random crimes and are targeted to specific individuals involved in an altercation," said Long Branch's new Public Safety Director William Broughton, who said Long Branch police detectives are "aggressively" working with the county to make arrests in these shootings.
No arrests have been made as of Wednesday.

At 2:45 p.m. Monday, Long Branch Police got a 911 call of shots fired at the intersection of Halberton Place and North 5th Ave. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a home in that location had been struck by multiple rounds of gunfire.
Approximately seven hours later, shortly after 9:45 p.m, West Long Branch Police responded to the QuickChek in that town, for another 911 call of shots fired.
It was later discovered that a man had indeed been shot outside the convenience store, and had been dropped off at a local hospital for treatment.
Shortly after, just before 11:45 p.m., Long Branch Police responded to another report of shots fired along the 300 block of Long Branch Avenue. No victims were found in that incident.

Residents in Long Branch and West Long Branch reported on Facebook that they saw a large police presence in front of the Broadway QuickChek Monday night.
