Marlboro Township Celebrates Local Diversity

11th Annual Marlboro Multi-Cultural Day on November 18th, 2018

The 11th Annual Marlboro Multi-Cultural Day is scheduled for Sunday, November 18, 2018, 1:00 -
5 PM at the Marlboro High School
(MHS) (Rt. 79, Marlboro, NJ). The residents, volunteers, performers and representatives from various cultural communities in the area will gather to celebrate local diversity and to share their respective traditions at this event. The day will begin with performances from dancers, singers, musicians, and masters of martial arts. In addition, following the cultural performances, guests are invited to take a culinary and visual tour around the globe while sampling regional food, viewing cultural displays and costumes, and participating in craft activities.

“The 11th Marlboro Multicultural Day Planning Committee works diligently throughout the year to organize a memorable event, and we expect this to be our best year yet,” said Alice Ng, Chairman of the Planning Committee. She added that year after year attendance has grown to near the auditorium capacity of the Marlboro High School, and that the event also helps promote youth volunteerism, collaboration and team work. As an example, the Monmouth Council-Boy Scouts of America and the Marlboro High School LEO Club will be active volunteers along with teens from other Marlboro organizations and schools.

This family-friendly event is free to all, so please come and enjoy a day with family and friends and/or neighbors while learning about the different cultures around the world.
