Money Collected For Long Branch Police Officer Who Needs Kidney
Since he was diagnosed with kidney failure in December, this father of three has been working and undergoing dialysis three times a week.
LONG BRANCH, NJ — Loved ones have launched this GoFundMe for Long Branch Patrolman George "Tom" Olski.
This is because in December, Olski was told he had an advanced kidney disease and that he would need to find a kidney donor.
Since then, Olski, a father of three, has not only been working to provide for his family but also undergoing dialysis three times a week.

"Tom is one of those co-workers who would work your shift to help a member out, and he would also pick up extra hours to help his family when needed," wrote the Long Branch PBA. "Tom and his family have been thrown into a whirlwind of chaos during a global pandemic. Unfortunately, this will be his life for the foreseeable future as he is in need of a kidney donor for a transplant."
All of his family members were tested and none were found to be good matches, so Olski has been placed on a donor list.

"We all know how medical, and all other related expenses can quickly add up," said the PBA.
So far, they have raised $4,500 of their $10,000 goal.
Olski has worked for the Long Branch Police Dept. since 2002 and "not only is he an outstanding professional, he is also an amazing husband and father of three young beautiful children."
"We're asking that we all come together and help lessen some of the burden Olski and his family are going through. Friends and family are hoping to raise money for Olski and his family to get through this difficult time. Any amount would be greatly appreciated."
