Monmouth U. Head Women's Basketball Coach Suspended

The head coach of the Monmouth University women's basketball team has been suspended for one game, the university announced.

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ — The head coach of the Monmouth University women's basketball team has been suspended for one game, the university announced Sunday.

Women's basketball head coach Jody Craig will be suspended for Tuesday's game against Rider "for conduct not conducive to the mission and goals of the University and Department of Athletics," said the West Long Branch-based university in this statement posted online.

Assistant coach James Young will coach in her place at Tuesday's game, which is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. in Atlantic City.

The school did not give a reason for what specifically Craig did, or is accused of doing.
