Netflix Now Hiring For Its First 2 Movie Industry Jobs At Fort Monmouth
Netflix is now hiring at Fort Monmouth in Eatontown. Salaries range from $181,000 to $790,000.

EATONTOWN, NJ — When Gov. Phil Murphy granted Netflix millions of dollars in tax breaks to build a studio campus at Fort Monmouth, part of his reasoning was that having Netflix in the area would create hundreds, if not thousands, of jobs.
And Netflix is now hiring for its very first jobs at Fort Monmouth:
Netflix is hiring for a manager of studio sites and services and a director of studio operations at Fort Monmouth, in this brand-new job posting Netflix published Monday.

In late 2024, the board of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority — under the Murphy administration — approved $387 million in tax breaks for Netflix to build an East Coast film studio headquarters at the former U.S. Army base at Fort Monmouth. These were Aspire tax credits, which the state created to help "commercial and residential real estate development projects that have financing gaps." Netflix previously estimated it will cost them $848 million to build a state-of-the art film production facility at Fort Monmouth.
Netflix co-CEO and chief content officer Ted Sarandos said in 2023 that he estimates opening Netflix at Fort Monmouth will create 1,500 permanent jobs in the movie industry.
"These first few jobs at Netflix Studios Fort Monmouth are a small but meaningful step in our commitment to New Jersey’s production renaissance," Anne Kelly, vice president of studio management and services at Netflix, said Monday. "In addition to our $1 billion investment in the facility, we’re already actively filming across the state — creating more employment and expanding economic opportunities for the local creative community, its workforce and surrounding businesses."
Netflix wrote this in its Feb. 23 job description for both jobs:
"Together, we are writing the next episode — pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next."
Netflix Officially Gets $387 Million In Tax Breaks To Open In NJ (January 2025)
This $387 million is not the only tax break Netflix is getting from New Jersey. To encourage the development of large, long-term film studios in the state, the Murphy administration designated Netflix a "Studio Partner" in May 2024. This means that if Netflix occupies their Fort Monmouth production facility for at least 10 years, it is eligible for a 40-percent base tax credit on all production expenses on movies/TV shows filmed in New Jersey.
The reason so many movies are filming in New Jersey is because Murphy revived the state's Film and Digital Media Tax Credit. The credit means any movie filmed or produced in New Jersey gets a 35-percent reduction in their state taxes. Gov. Mikie Sherrill intends to continue the tax breaks.
