NJ Friends of Clearwater Festival slated for Sept. 12 at Brookdale

40th Annual NJ Friends of Clearwater Festival

One of the state’s most iconic festivals celebrating nature and conservation will be coming to a new destination on Saturday, September 12th from 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM The New Jersey Friends of Clearwater Festival will be held on the beautiful grounds
of Brookdale College. Celebrating its 40th Year the NJFC Festival will be outside on the lawn behind Larrison Hall Honoring , Pete Seeger 1919-2014 and Bob Killian

Bob Killian will be honored for founding the festival and the late Pete Seeger will be honored for founding The Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, the mother organization for the festival.

A fun, informative, environmentally day with dozens of environmental groups addressing all aspects of conservation will have a presence at the festival. Along with Top Name Local & International Performers on Three Stages, Including Bob Killian!!!! A lineup of music ranging from folk to rock to jazz to draw in the casual attendee.
Plus food and craft vendors and a Children’s Area filled with fun things to do  Handicapped Accessible-Dog Friendly-Free Admission- Bring Your Own Blankets and Chairs

New Jersey Friends of Clearwater (NJFC) is a grass roots organization, fully non-profit, volunteer-run and staffed. Since 1974, this organization has been actively educating children and adults on the importance of clean, clear water and to urge citizens to be
responsible custodians of our domain: the estuaries ofthe Raritan, Passaic, Hudson, Delaware,
and other NJ Rivers, the Jersey Shore coastline, its inland waterways, and the land of New Jersey.

On Sunday, September 13th, join Bob and members of the Hudson River Sloop Singers and friends at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation Meeting House, 1475 West Front St., Lincroft,
beginning at 3 p.m. for PETE’S GANG CONCERT

There will be songs and stories of the legendary folk singer by members of the Hudson River Sloop Singers and friends, some who sang and worked with Seeger for more than 40 years and were instrumental
in helping Killian found the Monmouth County Friends of Clearwater and the festival.

Followed by an open mic. Bring your Seeger songs
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under
