Restrooms Open Along Long Branch Beachfront

Only Porta Johns were open during Memorial Day weekend.

LONG BRANCH, NJ — Long Branch reopened its normal restrooms and comfort stations Thursday along the beachfront. The restrooms were closed during Memorial Day weekend, while Porta Johns were available.

Long Branch will keep its Porta Johns in the area to reduce lines and give visitors more options. The single-occupancy stalls ensure social distancing, the city says.

Monmouth County officials have reported 507 coronavirus cases in Long Branch as of Thursday morning. The county has not yet released recovery numbers or death tolls by town. Officials have reported 8,006 cases and 575 deaths in Monmouth County as of Thursday morning.
