Roebuck Now Officially Long Branch Police Chief
Former acting chief scored at the top for position on the Civil Service exam.
LONG BRANCH, NJ - Jason Roebuck has a new title - police chief.
Roebuck had been serving as the acting police chief for several months. The city was waiting for the results of the New Jersey Civil Service exam.
"He was appointed Chief after the test results were certified and showed that his score placed him at the top of the list," according to the police department's Facebook page.

Roebuck was official sworn in as police chief on Jan. 16. He had also served as the department's public safety director before the city switched back to the police chief position.
