Saturday, February 1-Black History Month Kickoff

The Second Baptist Church’s Men’s Ministry Christian Education
Department and Youth Ministry will host a Black History Month celebration and Men’s Health Fair today. 
Principal Baruti Kafele will deliver the keynote address at the celebration.
Our youth in Monmouth & Ocean Countyare experiencing educational and cultural crisisCome out and hear this award winning National Speaker
lecture on the commonality of our problems and some of the paths we must take in finding solutions. 

The men’s health fair and breakfast runs from 9 to 11 a.m. Participants will have their blood pressure, blood sugar, and body mass index calculated
and receive a stroke risk assessment. 
At noon, the Black History Month kickoff celebration will begin in the main sanctuary of the church, located at 124 Atkins Avenue, Asbury Park

Various singing, dancers, and poets will also perform at the event, in celebration of black history,Both events are free and open to the public.
