Seabrook Community Donates 500 Turkeys to Local Food Banks

Since the launch of the Turkey Trot in 1999, the Seabrook community has donated over 8,000 turkeys to local charities.

Seabrook, an Erickson Living senior living community in Tinton Falls, held its annual Turkey Trot celebration on November 16. After the party, which was held inside due to inclement weather, over 500 turkeys, donated by residents and staff, were loaded onto trucks and delivered to Bradley Food Pantry, Interfaith Neighbors, and Lunch Break. The festive event included music and refreshments of apple cider and donuts.

“This was Seabrook’s most successful donation drive yet with more than $10,000 raised to purchase more than 500 turkeys,” said Philanthropy Manager Ann Marie Matthews. “Thank you to our residents and staff for participating in our 20th annual Turkey Trot and supporting our effort to help our neighbors in need in the local community.”

“Seabrook’s donation is going to make a lot of people very happy. Thank you very much,” said Maura Comer, director of rental assistance at Interfaith Neighbors.
