Seabrook Dogs Strut Their Stuff at Pet Expo
More than a dozen dogs participate in Dog Show on campus
On October 9, more than a dozen dogs strutted their stuff at Seabrook Retirement Community’s Dog Show and Pet Expo. The dogs, escorted by their resident and staff owners, received cheers and applause from the audience as they paraded through the community’s Town Square Activity Room. Some of the breeds represented included St. Bernard, Beagle, Pug, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Labradoodle, and Bull dog.
Rosemary Cheek and her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Mazie Grace, both dressed in pumpkin costumes, won the pet/owner look-a-like award. Judy Sullivan’s dog Delilah, a Pomeranian and Chihuahua mix, won the award for best costume.
The pet-friendly event also included a pet blessing by Seabrook Pastoral Ministries Manager David Bowman, local vendors, live caricature drawings of pet and owner, and a collection drive for the Associated Humane Society of Tinton Falls.
