On July 28, Seabrook, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, hosted its first-ever Telethon. The event and fundraising campaign raised $131,466 for the community's Resident Care Fund.

Staff and residents worked together to make the event a huge success by providing recorded segments. The show included live commentary and a variety of entertainment, including Seabrook Jeoparody (parody of Jeopardy), "Who’s on First" skit from the Blue Claws Stadium, a tour of a staff member's picturesque farm, music by Nicole & Denise, comedy skits, readings, and more. Departments also donated raffle items such as dining vouchers, gift baskets, free housekeeping, gift cards, fitness training, and lunch with executive team members.

"Thank you so much to residents, staff, and family members for their generosity and support of our first-ever Telethon," said Philanthropy Manager Ann Marie Matthews. "It was a fun night for a great cause."

Seabrook’s Resident Care Fund provides support to residents who, despite careful planning, outlive their financial resources. The money donated to the fund allow for residents experiencing financial adversity to continue living at Seabrook, in their home, among their friends, receiving the care that they need.

Seabrook was voted the "Best Adult Community" by Asbury Park Press readers for four consecutive years. In addition, its continuing care neighborhood was awarded second place as one of the "Best Assisted Living" communities.
