Seabrook Hosts Grand Opening Celebration for Great Lawn

On October 2, Seabrook, an Erickson Living senior living community in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, hosted a grand opening Oktoberfest celebration for its newly renovated Village Center Great Lawn. More than 200 residents and staff attended the festive event and enjoyed music by Dale Stroever and his Oktoberfest Band as well as refreshments of pretzels and beer.

The Great Lawn features a newly constructed amphitheater stage, walking paths, two gazebos, picnic tables, benches, rocking chairs, and beautiful landscaping.

“Next month, Seabrook celebrates its 20th anniversary as one of the Jersey Shore’s most popular senior living communities,” said Executive Director Paula Digerness. “We are excited to continue to provide our residents with new amenities and facilities that they can enjoy. The renovations to our Great Lawn are designed to meet the needs of current and future residents, as the demand for the Seabrook lifestyle continues to increase.”

Digerness said Seabrook is undergoing several lifecycle renovations to enhance the community. This year the community plans to revamp the fitness center and woodshop. Next year plans are being made to update the Town Square clubhouse, add a new restaurant and bring Memory Care to the on-site continuing care neighborhood. Last year, the Tides Café in Village Center was completely renovated and redesigned and now boasts timeless coastal décor, modern lighting, and brand new food-service equipment as well as improved acoustics.

Seabrook will be hosting special events each month to celebrate its 20th anniversary which falls on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. During the anniversary week, a series of events include a 20th-anniversary ceremony, lunch for resident and employee pioneers, champagne and cake for residents and staff, display of memorabilia, sing-a-long, a day of service, Interfaith ceremony, department fair, and a Saturday night party.
