Seabrook Hosts Top Chef Competition
Event that showcased Seabrook's talented chefs and residents.
Seabrook residents and chefs teamed up for a friendly culinary showdown during the community’s Top Chef competition on June 10.
Teams consisting of one chef and one resident at the Erickson Senior Living retirement community in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, had 30 minutes to create the tastiest dish using the mystery ingredient: eggplant.
After tasting the delectable dishes and engaging in a tough deliberation, the judges crowned resident Fran Weiss and Chef Lamier Richardson as the Top Chef winners for their delicious recipe—Breaded Eggplant Served with Linguine in Pesto and Marinara Sauce, with Sautéed Spinach and Tomatoes Topped with Feta Cheese.

In addition to receiving prizes, the team’s recipe will be prepared by Seabrook’s chefs and served at a campus restaurant this summer.
During the event, audience members cheered on their favorite team, competed in a Food Trivia contest for prizes, and enjoyed refreshments.
