Spring has sprung—and so have the pathways to college for a number of local high school students, thanks to the Student Scholar Awards at Seabrook, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.

Dedicated high school student workers are being recognized and set up for success through these four-year scholarships, funded by generous donations from community residents. At the Student Scholar ceremony on June 10, 13 student workers were granted $5,000 or $10,000 scholarships based on the number of hours they worked to support their pursuit of a 4-year college, two-year community college, or trade school education. Also, $36,500 in named-scholarships were awarded.

"The intergenerational relationships between our student employees and our residents are invaluable. The tremendous support that Seabrook residents give to this program affirms their willingness to invest in the bright futures ahead for these young adults," said Philanthropy Manager Ann Marie Matthews. "We are grateful to our residents for their generosity, and we are grateful to our students for sharing their gifts with us every day."
