Senator Jennifer Beck and AARP NJ present “Caught in the Scammer’s Net: The Psychology Behind ID Theft and Scams” at Seabrook, an active continuing care retirement community in Tinton Falls, NJ, on Tuesday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Town Square Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. Guests will receive bags with information and resources during the event. Following the program, dessert and coffee will be served. New Jersey Attorney General John Hoffman, Director of NJ Division of Consumer Affairs Steve Lee, Senator Jennifer Beck, AARP NJ Director Douglas Johnston and AARP Associate State Director for Community Outreach Christine Newman, will discuss fraud prevention with senior citizens from Seabrook and the local community. Topics include how to spot and avoid identity theft and fraud and how seniors can protect themselves and their families.
