Shore House's Fourth Annual "Art of Recovery" Show Hosted by BelmarArts a Success.
Shore House once again creates awareness for Mental Health through art.

Belmar, October 16, 2015: Patrons of the arts were treated to the artistic talents of Shore House members. The fourth annual Art of Recovery hosted by BelmarArts boasted a variety of work created by the members. Included in the exhibit were drawings and paintings, in mediums such as watercolor, pyrography and graphite. Some Shore House members have received formal training while other are self-taught. Members create their art not only for its therapeutic value, but as a form of self-expression and because of the positive energy it generates.
“Shore House is grateful to BelmarArts for hosting the 4th Annual Art of Recovery, “said Executive Director Warrie Howell. “The event is highly anticipated by our members, as art is an integral part of our Social Program. The show allows the members to showcase their creative talents as well as gain valuable experience by utilizing their communication, organizational and social skills cultivated at the Clubhouse. The overall experience provides the encouragement our members need to pursue their artistic endeavors.”
Members spoke about what Shore House means to them. Member Dan Pineiro told guests that before he joined Shore House he was sleeping 15 hours a day. Since becoming a member at Shore House he is a more productive person keeping busy on projects. For Mary Husowech, Shore House has provided her opportunities to grow as a person while gaining confidence in herself.
