You can read about yesterdays mass layoff of most Patch employees around the country elsewhere however I would like to give special mention to three people that I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know the last three years. Chris Sheldon, Amy Byrnes and Shannon Winning all did a fantastic job in providing high quality news and event coverage to the people of Eatontown and the surrounding communities. All are very good writers/reporters that I know will be successful in their future endeavors.
Hopefully the days of quality daily online coverage of local news and events that we have gotten so used to will return someday.
