The Y to Honor Board Member at Golf Tourney

Marlboro Resident Chris Mosley to Receive Inaugural Volunteer Achievement Award

The Community YMCA will honor Board member Chris Mosley with the inaugural Volunteer Achievement Award in his name at the organization’s Summer Camp Scholarship Golf Tournament on May 18 at Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club in Farmingdale.

“Chris is a true champion for kids who has dedicated countless hours raising funds for camp scholarships and volunteering time and energy improving our camp properties so kids can enjoy a safe and fun outdoor experience,” said Rhonda Anderson, President and CEO of The Community YMCA. “We are honored to present him the first annual Chris Mosley Volunteer Achievement Award.”

Mosley, of Marlboro, serves on the Y Board of Directors and Property & Finance Committee. He served as chairman of the camp board for three years and co-chaired the Grillin’ & Chillin’ Gala in 2013. Mosley is also an active volunteer in his community. He serves as the business community liaison for the Office of Emergency Management in Marlboro and is a member of the Board for the Monmouth County Park System’s Friends of the Park. He is past fire commissioner of Marlboro Township District 2 and past chairman of the Monmouth County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.

The President of Complete Security Systems, a business he founded, Mosley said he enjoys giving back to the community and receives great satisfaction from volunteering at the Y since it has a strong focus on youth development.

Proceeds from the golf tournament will provide summer camp scholarships for The Community YMCA’s summer camp programs in Marlboro, Matawan, Red Bank and Wall.

Sponsored by Morgan Stanley, the golf tournament is chaired by Y Board member Dan Matarese, President of Danco General Contracting, Inc. Committee members include: Sal Alfieri, Lonnie Allgood, Paul GaNun, Danny Murphy, Chris Shaw and Mosley.
