LONG VALLEY, NJ — Washington Township Recreation is inviting seniors to a Senior Dance on Thursday, June 25, at 5 p.m. at the Washington Township Community Center, 35 East Springtown Rd. in Long Valley. The township announced the event as the return of a program that has been missing from the local calendar.
According to the announcement, the evening is planned as “an elegant night of socializing, music, and light refreshments.” Guests will be welcomed with hors d’oeuvres and a chance to reconnect with friends, meet other community members, and spend time in a festive setting at the community center.
Washington Township Recreation stated that space is limited and early registration is encouraged. A non-refundable payment is required by June 18 to secure attendance, according to the announcement.
The event will feature entertainer Jerry Castaldo. Castaldo is a seasoned performer known for music, comedy, and audience interaction, with experience performing at Atlantic City casinos and New York City venues.
The township framed the event as part of its effort to offer social opportunities for older residents. In the announcement, Washington Township Recreation said, “The return of this event marks an important moment for our community, reaffirming our commitment to providing meaningful social opportunities for seniors.”
Registration payments made by check should be payable to “W.T. Recreation” and can be mailed or dropped off at Washington Township Recreation, 50 Rock Road, Long Valley, NJ 07853. Online payment is also available through the township’s recreation payment portal.
