• Drunken Hit-And-Run Driver, Warrant Arrests: Long Valley Blotter (patch.com) — Long Valley residents are being alerted to several recent Washington Township police actions, including two warrant arrests on Route 46 and a drunken hit-and-run crash near East Mill Road and Bartley Road. Officers tracked down the fleeing driver on foot and made an arrest for driving under the influence, while two other motorists were taken into custody or posted bail on active warrants.    

• Bids Sought For Summer Camp In Long Valley (patch.com) — Washington Township is looking for an organization to run its Long Valley summer camp at Rock Spring Park from 2026 through 2028, with full-day programs and before- and after-care. Proposals, including required affidavits and licenses, must reach the Schooley’s Mountain Road municipal building in Long Valley by Friday, and will be judged on program quality, staffing, affordability, and community needs.    

• Police Takeover Ends, Control Restored For NJ Town Rocked By Double Murder (patch.com) — A Hunterdon County takeover of Franklin Township’s police department has ended, with local control restored under a new leadership structure. For Long Valley readers, the case is notable because video shows veterinarian Lauren Semanchik leaving her job in Long Valley before being followed to her Franklin Township home, where she and her boyfriend were later found fatally shot.
