LONG VALLEY, NJ — A house fire in Long Valley this week prompted swift action from both local and out-of-town crews.
On Monday, around 6:15 a.m., fire crews were called to a Long Valley home that was on fire.
Several local crews, including Long Valley Fire Company No.1, Fairmount Fire Company, and Schooley’s Mountain Fire Company, responded to the blaze. Providing assistance were the Chester Fire Company, Flanders Fire Company, Budd Lake Fire Company, Randolph Company 4, and the Long Valley First Aid Squad.
Officials said the structure fire had challenging access and a limited water supply. Crews can be seen busting a hole in the roof to let the smoke escape the residence.
Firefighters battled the blaze for just over two hours before clearing the scene.
No injuries were reported. Officials did not announced what caused the blaze.
