WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — Young performers in Washington Township will have another chance to take the stage this fall as the township's popular Musical Theatre Enrichment program returns for an eight-week session.
Washington Township Recreation is once again partnering with local theatre artist Jenny Boeckel to offer the program, which gives children ages 6 to 13 an opportunity to develop their singing, dancing and acting skills.
Throughout the session, students will work together to create a mini-musical while participating in theater games, storytelling and improvisation exercises designed to build confidence and encourage self-expression. The program will conclude with a live performance for family and friends on the final day.
Classes will be held Mondays from Sept. 14 through Nov. 2, 2026.
Children ages 6 to 9 will meet from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., while the session for ages 10 to 13 will run from 5:35 to 6:35 p.m.
Space is limited, and a non-refundable registration fee is due by Sept. 10.
Registration is not considered complete until Washington Township Recreation receives both payment and a completed registration form. Families paying through the township's online payment portal must still email the completed registration form to the Recreation Office.
