LONG VALLEY, NJ — Long Valley residents who go all-out decorating their homes for Halloween have a chance to show off their spooky creations this October.
Washington Township Recreation is inviting residents to submit photos of their Halloween-decorated homes for an online community showcase.
Submissions opened on Tuesday and can include everything from pumpkins and fall-themed decorations to elaborate graveyards, ghosts, and other spooky displays.
Residents who want to participate should email a high-quality photo of their decorated home, along with the home's address, to recreation@wtmorris.net.
The deadline to enter is noon on Oct. 29, and late submissions will not be accepted, recreation officials said.
Throughout October, submitted homes will be highlighted on the Washington Township Recreation Facebook page. The full collection of photos is expected to be posted on the township recreation website on Oct. 30.
Officials are also encouraging residents to use the submitted addresses to plan Halloween drives around town and check out their neighbors' displays.
