$1.1M In School Admin. Salaries In Madison: See How It's Spent

MADISON, NJ - Superintendent and principal salaries continue to rise, and last year Madison taxpayers spent $1,162,594 on the superintendent and principals in their school district.

The Department of Education recently released its annual list of superintendents and principals and their salaries before the start of the 2019-20 school year. Some of the principals and superintendents listed may no longer be with their schools; this list was developed in 2019.

The list below contains administrators, with their school, their years of service (which is surely a factor in their pay) and, finally, their salaries in 2019:

• Mark Schwarz, Madison School District Superintendent, 15, $174,689
• Gregory Robertson, Madison High School, 31, $178,715
• Kathleen Koop, Kings Road School, 19, $147,590
• Louis Caruso, Madison Junior School, 17, $145,000
• Thomas Liss, Central Avenue School, 16, $140,100
• Allison Stager, Torey J. Sabatini School, 14, $130,000
• Lori Lubieski-Hutmaker, Madison Junior School, 23, $126,500
• David Drechsel, Madison High School, 1, $120,000

The Department of Education has said it double-checks the data before delivering it to the media.
