Thursday Morning Club Celebrates 120th Anniversary
The club celebrated its 120th anniversary Thursday, Feb. 11 with more than 60 of its members at the Madison Community House.
More than 60 members of the Thursday Morning Club gathered Thursday, Feb. 11 at the Madison Community House to celebrate the club’s 120th anniversary.
A luncheon prepared by the club’s catering committee was followed by a lecture, ”Escaping the Cube: From Finance to Frosting,” as part of the Wise Wonderful Women series, which featured Lisa Rochelle, owner of Sweet Grace Cake Designs in Haworth. Following the presentation, members were treated to a cake designed and decorated by Rochelle.
The Thursday Morning Club has provided services and support to area communities, organizations and individuals since its inception in 1896. Its motto is “Ich Dien,” German for “I serve.”
