3rd ANNUAL MAYOR'S CUP - MADISON vs CHATHAM YOUTH BASEBALL
Wednesday, June 17th @ Chatham Shunpike Baseball Fields
The 3rd annual Mayor’s Cup Baseball Championship between Madison and Chatham will take place at Chatham’s Shunpike fields on Wednesday, 17th June. This event is the culmination of the spring youth baseball season with the championship winning teams from these strong baseball towns striving for the coveted Mayor’s Cup. We have an expanded contest this year with the Juniors division champions (13/14 year olds) participating for the first time. They will be joined by the winning Majors (11/12 year olds) and AAA (9/10 year olds) Championship teams. All of the games will start at 7pm with pre game announcements kicking off at 6:45pm.
In the Juniors division, Madison will be represented by O’Donnell Landscaping (managed by Bo Brownlee) with Chatham being represented by Pinkava Motors (managed by Tim Patterson). Madison majors champions Kiwanis, (managed by Frank Bergin) will compete against Chatham Sandwich Shop (managed by Brian Shuster). The AAA game will see Madison’s RSR Sports (managed by Brian McGuire) take on Aquinas Healthcare (managed by Ken Jenks).
This annual contest is highly anticipated with both towns winning one of the games last year in very close, entertaining games. Please come out and show your Madison pride. This is a great opportunity for the Madison community to support their town in a friendly competition with our neighbors from Chatham. See you there!
