MADISON, NJ— What might have started as a quick lunch stop turned into a windfall for one Madison lottery player: a ticket worth $50,000 was sold at a Madison deli.
The winning ticket was told at Main Street Submarine (187 Main Street), a local deli. Had the player added on the Power Play Multiplier option, it would have been worth $100,000.
The winning numbers in the Feb. 11 drawing were 05, 09, 17, 37 and 64. The Red Power Ball number was 02. The Multiplier number was 02. The Madison winner matched four of the five white balls.

“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase. Power Play doubles the second prize from one million dollars to two million dollars and multiplies all of the seven lower prize sets available in the game by the number drawn that evening. The jackpot prize is not multiplied.”
The jackpot for the Powerball now sits at $310,000,000.
