Aaron Shinn Shines at NJAC Track Meet

Dodgers participated in small-schools division.

Aaron Shinn was the major bright spot for Madison High School in the NJAC Small Division track meet at Wallkill Valley Regional High School over the weekend.

Shinn registered the lone first-place finish in for the Dodgers, with a pole vault height of 13 feet.

Jack Mahoney came in fourth in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 4:32.86 for the boys team, who came in at 11th place out of 20 teams with a score of 16. Kyle Flyer also scored for the Dodgers with a fourth-place finish in the 800 meter relay at a time of 2:00.95. His time of 4:36.04 in the 1,600 meter dash was good for just ninth place.

On the girls' side, Caroline Miller notched just 17th-place in the 1,600-meter run after coming in at 5:45.36. Natasha Nikodijevic found herself tied for 21st place with a length of 29-06 in the triple jump.

The girls team came in 20th place with a score of just one point. Hanover Park took the top spot with a score of 85.
