Celebrate New Trail Loops In Madison
Ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for National Trails Day on June 1.

MADISON, NJ - The Madison Open Space and Parks Committees are celebrating National Trails Day with a ribbon cutting ceremony and tour of the new trail loops at Summerhill Park.
The festivities are scheduled for Saturday, June 1 at 11 a.m.
Taking place on the first Saturday in June, National Trails Day is a day of public events aimed at advocacy and trail service. Thousands of hikers, bikers, rowers, horseback riders, trail clubs, federal and local agencies, land trusts, and businesses come together in partnership to advocate for, maintain, and clean up public lands and trails.

Trails were put in throughout Summerhill Park, thanks to a grant from the Morris County Planning and Preservation Trail Construction Grant Program.
The estimated hike mileage throughout the Summerhill Park trails is roughly 1.5 miles. Madison Open Space and the Parks Committee continuously work to improve, refresh and add trails within Summerhill Park.

Summerhill Park Trailhead can be accessed off Ridgedale Avenue between the Luke Miller House and Fairview Avenue. Limited parking is available.
