Celebrate, Support Women By Donating An Hour Of Your Pay

Dress for Success Northern NJ and ADP are launching the 'Your Hour, Her Power' campaign.

MADISON, NJ — Dress for Success Northern NJ (DFSNNJ) and ADP are calling on individuals to give one hour of pay to support women trying to achieve financial empowerment and upward mobility in the workplace.

The event, marking International Women’s Day, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday and will feature the launch of the “Your Hour, Her Power” campaign.

Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver will kick-off the event by speaking about the importance of non-profits and companies collaborating to help women to in New Jersey and around the world become empowered, encouraging them to create a viable path that will result in women achieving social, economic, cultural and political equality.

ADP, which has a longstanding commitment to Dress for Success Northern NJ-10 Counties, is encouraging their U.S. associates to support this “Your Hour, Her Power” campaign. ADP’s women’s network is promoting the campaign internally and eligible associate donations will be matched by the company.

“I am proud of the ongoing collaboration between ADP and DFSNNJ,” said ADP Chief Diversity & Corporate Social Responsibility Officer Rita Mitjans. “When women work, families thrive, communities prosper and the economy grows.”

The proceeds generated on this day will go towards serving even more women throughout Northern NJ with coaching, training and development opportunities at no cost to them. DFSNNJ has a 20-year history of helping women from all walks of life who are often at the most vulnerable time in their life, providing them with the proper clothing to wear to an interview and then to work, as well as the skills to get a job and keep a job.

“The significant level of support over the years from ADP has enabled DFSNNJ to make available to its clients, many the tools they need to become self-sufficient,” said DFSNNJ Executive Director Kim Iozzi. “Anyone interested in helping can do so by making a donation online."

Iozzi said a donation is more than just a gift, it’s an investment in a global future for women everywhere.

The celebration is hosted by ADP at their 1 ADP Boulevard headquarters in Roseland.

Since 1998, Dress for Success Northern New Jersey-10 Counties has successfully helped to guide more than 20,000 women move into the workforce as they forge a new career path, by providing them with business attire, skill building programs, tools, mentoring and support. Dress for Success Northern NJ-10 Counties serves women in Bergen, Essex, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren.
