Christmas Day Thefts, Drunk Driving: Madison Police Blotter

Police made multiple arrests in December, including for a theft on Christmas Day.

MADISON, NJ — December was a busy month for Madison police, with numerous arrests, including for a theft on Christmas Day, and multiple drunk drivers. They also responded to 74 medical emergencies and 34 car crashes.

On 11/21/17 at 10:39am, Sgt. James Cavezza arrested Googu V. Namruev-30 of Jersey City, NJ. Sgt. Cavezza stopped Namruev’s vehicle on Green Village Road for a moving violation. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Namruev’s driver’s license was suspended and he had several outstanding warrants for his arrest. In total, Namruev had $2500.00 in active arrest warrants. The warrants were confirmed by Madison Police and Namruev was placed under arrest. He was transported to Madison Police Department where he posted full bail. He was issued several motor vehicle summonses for cell phone use, failure to inspect his motor vehicle, and being an unlicensed driver. Namruev was later released pending a mandatory court appearance.

On 11/24/17 at 3:19pm, Cpl. Bart Glab and Ptl. Ryan Dunn arrested three occupants of a motor vehicle after a traffic stop. Trevor A. Papenmeier- 25 of Branchville, NJ, Jason S. Papenmeier- 31 of West Linn, OR, and Luke W. Papenmeier-24 of Branchville, NJ were arrested after officers stopped their vehicle on Rt. 24 for a moving violation. Upon investigation, officers observed obvious signs of drug use in plain view. The three occupants were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, failure to surrender a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia; all are disorderly person’s offenses. They were later released pending a court appearance in Madison Municipal Court.

On 11/24/17 at 6:30pm, Ptl. Julian Morales arrested Catherine M. Donnolly- 57 of Morristown, NJ. Madison officers were summoned to Waverly Place for a vehicle that was stuck on the median of the roadway. Upon arrival, Ptl. Morales met with the driver, Donnally, whom he noticed exhibited signs of intoxication. During the investigation, Ptl. Morales asked Donnally to perform field sobriety evaluations and she was later arrested. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to submit breath samples, and careless
driving. She was later released to a friend, pending a court appearance in Madison Municipal Court.

On 12/4/17 at 7:53am, Cpl. Kevin Boone arrested Jesse J. Kimball, -47 of Madison, NJ. Cpl. Boone and Ptl. Julian Morales were dispatched to a one-car motor vehicle crash on Belmont Avenue and met with the driver, identified as Kimball. Officers observed Kimball to exhibit signs of intoxication and he was asked to perform field sobriety evaluations. Kimball was later arrested on scene. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and careless driving. Kimball was later released to a friend, pending a court appearance in Madison Municipal Court.

On 12/6/17 at 11:45am, D et. Paul Papamarkos charged Steven Martinez-31 of East Newark, NJ. Madison detectives were investigating a burglary and theft to a electrical substation on Kings Road from 10/20/17. The actor, later identified as Martinez, allegedly broke into the Kings Road property and removed copper wire from the location valued at several hundred dollars. There additional property inside the location was also damaged b y the actor. During the course of the investigation, Martinez was developed as a suspect and later charged with the following: 1 count of Burglary, 2 counts of Criminal Mischief, Possession of burglary tools, Conspiracy to commit burglary, and Criminal Trespass. Martinez was served with his charges while incarcerated in the Morris County Jail on unrelated charges. He is awaiting his court appearance in Morris County Superior Court.

On 12/8/17 at 12:46am, P tl. Joseph DiRocco arrested a 43-year-old Chatham woman, NJ. Ptl. DiRocco stopped her vehicle on Main Street for moving violations. Upon speaking with the driver, officers detected signs of intoxication. She was asked to perform field sobriety evaluations and she was arrested on scene. She was later charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. She was later released to a friend, pending a court appearance in Madison Municipal Court.

On 12/10/17 at 3:45am, P tl. Carmine DeCaro arrested Roberto C . Noel-Berman-23 of Summit, NJ . Ptl. DeCaro was dispatched to a Madison Avenue location for an unwanted guest. Upon arrival, Ptl. DeCaro met with Noel-Berman who was previously advised that he was not permitted at the location. He was arrested on scene and charged with defiant trespassing. He was later released pending a court appearance in Madison Municipal Court.

On 12/21/17 at 10:41pm, Cpl. Bart Glab arrested Seyed M. Hosseini-Sedehy-19 of Ho Ho Kus, NJ and Alex V. Diciliea- 19 of South Orange, NJ. Cpl. Glab stopped Hosseini-Sedehy’s vehicle on Main Street for equipment violations. Upon speaking with the occupants, Cpl. Glab observed signs of drug use. After conducting his investigation, it was determined that both occupants were in possession of controlled substances. Both were arrested on scene and processed at Madison Police Department. Hosseini-Sedehy was charged with 3rd degree Possession of Prescription Drugs, Possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, Possession of alcoholic beverages under the legal age, and Being under the influence of a narcotic. He was released from custody pen ding a court appearance in Morris County Superior Court. Dicilea charged with Possession of marijuana under 50 grams and Possession of alcoholic beverages under the legal age. He was lat er released from custody pending a court appearance at Madison Municipal Court.

On 12/23/17 at 12:30pm, Ptl. Travis Daniel arrested William F. Mullins- 48 of Madison, NJ. Ptl. Daniel w as dispatched to the Nautilus Diner-95 Main Street- for a trespasser on location . Upon arrival, he met with Mullins w ho was asked to leave the restaurant and returned several times, prompting police response. During the investigation, he was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was arrested on scene and transported to Madison Police. He was charged with Possession of marijuana under 50 grams and Defiant trespassing. Mullins was remanded to the custody of the Morris County Jail pending a court appearance in Madison Municipal Court.

On 12/27/17 at 2:58pm, P tl. Nelson Jimenez arrested Zoe Clare Macintosh- 33 of New York, NY. Sgt. Sean Plumstead and Ptl. Jimenez were dispatched to Park Avenue for an unruly cab passenger who refused to pay her $100.00 fare. Upon arrival, officers met with MacIntosh who did not wish to pay the fare owed and engaged in a dispute with her driver for a lengthy time. She was arrested on scene and charged with Theft of Service. She was later released pending a court appearance in Madison Municipal Court.

On 12/27/17 at 4:00pm, Ptl. Julian Morales charged Ronald C. Diaz- 50 of Madison, NJ with Theft and Criminal Trespass stemming from a Christmas Day incident at J&M Plants on Main Street. Madison Police were dispatched to J&M Plants on 12/26/17 for a report that a black pickup truck entered their property a day prior, while they were closed, and took several bundles of firewood without paying. The incident was captured on their video surveillance and turned over to police. Diaz was developed as s suspect and w as later charged. The amount of the theft was under $100.00. He is awaiting a court appearance in Madison Municipal Court.
