IN SHORT
After a week of rain, the Dodgers faced off against Livingston—a perennial Group 4 baseball power—and other than a few miscues in the field, kept this game close throughout. The offense came alive to score six runs behind a strong day from third baseman Connor Higgins, who accounted for three runs on a 2-for-3 day at the plate. Unfortunately for Madison, the Livingston offense was also alive as leadoff hitter Brandon Levy went 4-for-4 and scored four runs in the win.

THEY SAID IT
"It’s a good game against a top team in the state. We knew how good of a team this is and by making small mistakes, you saw how it opened it up against a good team like Livingston. Against poor teams, you’re not exploited that way and you kind of get away with not doing the little things."–Head Coach Mickey Ennis

Next up: Madison hosts Newark Tech Monday in the first round of the North 2, Group II state sectional tournament.
