bottom line thieves want to get in and get out ASAP. they go the quickest route with the least visibility. However some actually go to the front door pick or bump the lock( no sign of forced entry) the alarm might off but... NEW way to foil these guys. INVISIBLE locks can be added to all types of doors/windows. if the locks can not be seen--nobody knows how to access them.
